Cornerstone Expands India Office and Enhances Consulting Team

Travel Industry Experts David Wardell and Pauline Jamardo Join Cornerstone

Bloomington, IN - July 1, 2008: Cornerstone Information Systems, a leading technology and professional services company in the travel sector, has just announced their plans to meet increased demand by opening an office in Bangalore, India and hire new talent to support their consulting and business development initiatives.

Cornerstone’s international growth will begin with their support of local and regional business in India. In order to be successful in an international market, Cornerstone strongly believes that it is important to have local development, systems and support resources available in each market that are aware of the local business needs and culture.

“Our aim is to continue being just the right size and just in time for the opportunities that arise in each market,” explained Mat Orrego, president of Cornerstone. “Cornerstone’s success has been based on this philosophy, and it has given Cornerstone and its customers an advantage year after year.”

In addition to international expansion, Cornerstone has also brought two new travel experts onto their team to support the Business Development and Consulting efforts.

David Wardell, a seasoned travel and technology expert, will serve as a Senior Consultant for Cornerstone and will work in all aspects of general consulting, including providing application consulting for all Cornerstone tools that serve the agency, corporate and government travel market sectors. His past experience consists of senior consultancy roles at both large and small enterprises worldwide, including the U.S. General Services Administration, the Transportation Security Administration, and the Republic of Ireland. He has worked extensively with several travel and transportation companies such as Marriott, Carlson Companies, United Airlines, US Airways, Galileo and American Express.

“The demand for consultants in the travel industry continues to be significant, as many companies have a need to make the best use of their resources, remain competitive and create strategies that will serve them in the long-term,” explained Mr. Wardell. “Cornerstone has an outstanding toolbox and is perfectly positioned to meet corporate and government needs with well-built and conceived tools, and I am pleased to be a part of the team that guides direction in this area.”

Also joining the Cornerstone team is Pauline Jamardo, who will serve as Business Development Manager, employing her 17 years of extensive sales experience in the travel industry. In the past, Ms. Jamardo has worked with NuTravel Technology Solutions and Orbitz for Business, and honed her skills during her 14 years with VTS/Directravel as Regional Vice President of New Business Development/Regional Director of Sales.
